An essential oil is a concentrated liquid containing aroma compounds from plants. They are also known as volatile or ethereal oils, or simply as the "oil of" the plant material from which they were extracted, such as oil of clove. Oil is "essential" in the sense that it carries a distinctive scent, or essence, of the plant.
Essential oils are generally extracted by distillation.
Various essential oils have been used medicinally at different periods in history. Medical applications proposed by those who sell medicinal oils range from skin treatments to remedies for cancer, and are often based on historical use of these oils for these purposes.
Interest in essential oils has revived in recent decades, with the popularity of aromatherapy, a branch of alternative medicine which claims that the specific aromas carried by essential oils have curative effects. Our Melting Hearts are scented wax chips sometimes referred as scented tarts, wax melts, candle melts, or scent chips.
You'll get 40 hearts (one fragrance) in a muslin cloth bag. Scent your entire home using just 4-5 hearts at a time in a tart burner.
Buy candle melts in bulk. Get three-quarters of a pound
of your favorite scent and save 20% over buying 4 cloth
bags of the same scent. No frills, just a zip lock bag
with 3/4 LB of wax melts. One scent per 3/4 LB bag.
We do not accept returns on bulk melting hearts so please
make sure you like the scent first before buying three-quarters
of a pound of it. Order the regular size bag of Melting
Hearts first or purchase a sample tealight pack, or
a votive to make sure you like the fragrance.
Our Melting Hearts will scent your entire home amazingly
fast. Use 4-5 hearts in your tart burner or potpourri
simmer pot and within minutes your home will be filled
with wonderful aroma. After several hours when the aroma
begins to fade, just drop in a couple more hearts to
rejuvinate the fragrance. Scents lasts for hours and
hours!
There are around 165-180 hearts per three-quarter
pound bag. Each heart is about the size of a nickle.
Expect a few broken hearts or wax crumbs in the bulk
bag.
Tip:
To easily remove the wax after it is done, put it in
the freezer for 20 minutes and the wax will pop right
out of your holder.
